Second Nine-Weeks

Do you ever dream of your fantasy house? We did in Ms. Rabon's Math Intervention classes this nine weeks. Students designed and drew scaled house plans. Some fantasy houses included play rooms and even a football field! The students utilized proportions in drawing to scale and the concept of area. It is more than just square footage in here because the students judged their house plans for creativity and scale, then competed for the top three winners in an all-class competition.  Featured guest judges included Mr. Jerry Hollensworth (architect), Mr. Chris Hurley, Ms. Ginger Cook, and Ms. Tiffany DePriest. Congratulations to our winners: 1st place-Jeherica Moddies, 2nd place-Alicia Carter and Savannah White, and 3rd place-Lauren Ammons! This one of many educational projects Ms. Rabon's class completes each nine weeks.
