Welcome to the
Magnolia High School web site. Whether you are a current student, a
former student or a community member, you can be proud of the
accomplishments of our students and faculty.
Magnolia High School continues to be a leader academically in southwest
Arkansas and the state of Arkansas. Our ACT scores are one of the
highest in the state. Our graduates have received over one million
dollars in scholarships the last six years.
Forty-five percent of our 2003
graduates received college scholarships. We offer our students an
extensive curriculum with many Advanced Placement courses,
college concurrent credit courses and technology
courses. Classrooms are equipped with at
least one computer. Teachers and students have access to twelve
computer labs that are equipped with a minimum of twenty-five computers.
During of summer of 2003,
we added choral music,
sculpture and drawing to our curriculum.
We offer an outstanding extracurricular
program that allows our students opportunities to participate in clubs and
competitions that are an extension of our curriculum. We also have an
athletic department that competes well at the district and state level.
Our band is truly outstanding and continues to win many awards each
year.
We have
just completed remodeling our campus. Every classroom has been renovated,
including rewiring, to meet changing needs of technology. We have built a
new cafeteria, administrative building, art room, media center, biology
lab, and agriculture building. The grounds have been landscaped. We have
a campus that is beautiful and a facility of which our community can be
proud.
A new multi-purpose facility that
includes a gym and band hall is under construction and should be finished
in the summer of 2004.
This project will complete the remodeling of the high school.
Thank you for visiting our web site. We would love for you
to visit our school and see for yourself the wonderful things that are
going on at Magnolia High School.
