WHAT IS WAGE?

WAGE is dedicated to teaching the basic skills necessary for residents to compete in the local and state job markets.  WAGE includes academic and employability skills determined by local and state businesses and industries.  A state-certified WAGE graduate is eligible for jobs at participating WAGE employers throughout the state.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

• Score 12.9 grade level in reading, math, and language

• Score 100% on WAGE Competency Exam

• Score 85% on Basic Computer Literacy Test

• Complete Manual Dexterity Modules

• Complete Employability Skills Disk

• Update/create resume

• File at ESD

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

INDUSTRIAL

• Pass Manual Dexterity and Spatial Relations Tests

CLERICAL

• Score 85% in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Windows

• Type 45 awpm
