The Off-Campus Suspension Center (OCS) provides a temporary placement for the junior high and senior high school student whose inappropriate behavior would have otherwise led to suspension from school. Assignment to OCS is for a period of time not less than five days. While assigned to OCS, the student is provided instruction and allowed to complete assignments under the direction of a full-time certified teacher and an aide. A certified English teacher and a certified mathematics teacher are on staff to provide instruction in those subjects. A special education teacher works daily with special education students assigned to OCS. Computer-assisted instruction, supplemental books, and writing activities are used to supplement the instructional program.
