MHS Swimming 2018 2019 season

On January 31 the Magnolia swim team traveled to Bryant for the Old South Last Chance meet. This meet included teams from all conferences across the state. The Lady Panthers placed 3rd overall with 177 points, out of the 12 teams present. The Panthers placed 4th overall out of the 12 teams present. High point swimmers were Natalie Boyd with 23 individual points and Isaiah Williams with 27 individual points. The next day the team traveled to El Dorado for their final meet of the regular season. They competed against 3 other teams, El Dorado, Camden-Fairview and Benton. The Panthers placed 1st overall with 318 overall points and the Lady Panthers placed 2nd overall with 404 points, only 5 behind 1st place. High point swimmers were Olivia Ferguson with 36 individual points and Logan Riley with 33 individual points.

On February 8th the swim team traveled to Arkadelphia to compete in the 4A -1A South Conference meet. The teams in this conference are Arkadelphia, Bauxite, Camden-Fairview and Magnolia. The Magnolia Panthers swept the conference and both Lady Panthers and Panthers won their conference meet. The Lady Panthers scored 473 overall points and the Panthers scored 386 overall points. The following swimmers came home with all 1st place medals, Elizabeth Wilson in the 200 IM and the 100 free, Carwin Edwards in the 200 Free and 100 Butterfly and Bailey McCook in the 50 free and 100 breaststroke. The following swimmers placed 1st and 2nd overall in their individual events Hayden Rogers 200 free-2nd and 500 free 1st, Natalie Boyd 200 free 1st and 100 breast 2nd, Logan Riley 200 IM-2nd and 100 Back 1st, Emma Grace Ellington 200 IM 2nd and 500 free 1st, Lindy Westfall 100 Fly -1st and 200 free 2nd, Isaiah Williams 200 IM -1st and 500 Free-2nd, Olivia Ferguson 50 free-1st and 100 Back-2nd, and Harrison McWilliams 100 Free-1st and 100 Back 2nd. The following swimmers placed 2nd and or 3rd in their events, Elise McWilliams 500 free-2nd and 200 free-3rd, Erin-Kaye Daniel 100 Fly-2nd, Zach Cisneros 50 Free-3rd, Kera Middleton 200 IM-3rd and Leila Dadgar 500 Free-3rd.

All Magnolia Relays took 1st place. The 200 Medley Girls consisted of Olivia Ferguson, Natalie Boyd, Lindy Westfall and Elizabeth Wilson, the 200 Medley Boys consisted of Logan Riley, Isaiah Williams, Carwin Edwards and Bailey McCook. The 200 Free Girls consisted of Olivia Ferguson, Emma Grace Ellington, Elizabeth Wilson and Natalie Boyd and the 200 Free Boys consisted of Hayden Rogers, Harrison McWilliams, Logan Riley and Zach Cisneros. The 400 Free relay Girls consisted of Kaitlyn Disedare, Kera Middleton, Elise McWilliams and Amya Reeves and the 400 Free relay boys consisted of Isaiah Williams, Carwin Edwards, Hayden Rogers and Bailey McCook.

Magnolia has two weeks until the 4A-1A state meet in Bentonville, AR on February 23, 2019.
