Career and Technical Education Day took place at the state capitol in Little Rock Tuesday, February 11, 2020. Held in the capitol rotunda, the event was designed to showcase CTE programs and leaders from across the state.  Three Magnolia High School internship students, A’Nijah Caldwell, Caitlin Jermany and Jeremiah Smith attended the event.  The students were able to have discussions with Governor Asa Hutchinson, Arkansas State Department leaders, as well as state representatives and senators regarding the skills learned on their jobs and important employability skills taught in the classroom through the Internship program. The students also created a presentation board with pictures of the thirty-five current internship students on their jobs site. The presentation included quotes from each student on what they have learned being an internship student. All current employers were also recognized.  Anyone interested in employing an Internship student for the 2020-2021 school year should contact Anita Moore, Internship Coordinator at 870-901-2542.
