Why I love working for Magnolia School District?

L. Talley

LaTunya Talley

Teacher & Bus Driver, Magnolia School District

"Magnolia Public School has given me the opportunity to assist students in their quest for knowledge as they learn to discover answers to their questions by giving them access to information rather than serving as the main information source. I believe that teaching offers a chance for lifelong learning and development. Also, as a bus driver for our district, it gives me the opportunity to interact positively with our students and enforce safety procedures on the way to and from school.

Tyler Linton

Teacher, East Side Elementary School

"I love being back in panther nation because it built me into who I am today. I LOVE being able to give back to the community that poured into me when I was a student. I also have seen firsthand that Mr. Ward and my building administrators are leaders who care about teacher input and in my opinion, you can’t beat supportive administrators that values your input as an educator! GO PANTHERS!"

J.White

Jennifer White

Principals Secretary, Magnolia Middle School

"One of reasons I love working for the school district is because of the way our teachers love our students. They truly do care about the kids and their education! I can attest to this from having my daughter go from kindergarten through high school here in Magnolia. She had a great education! Another reason is because of the way the staff works together to get problems, goals and projects accomplished. We all have each other’s’ backs. It’s truly a team effort."

J.Callicott

Jill Callicott

Counselor, Magnolia High School

"Working at Magnolia High School is a blessing because I get to spend my days with teenagers! They are fun and make each day new and exciting…there is never a dull or boring day! My goal is to always do what is in the best interest of the student. It is rewarding to encourage and support each of them as they develop into independent successful, and productive young adults."

Join Magnolia School District and Win For Kids!

Welcome to the Magnolia School District Family!

Our Mission: "With the collaboration of families and the community, the Magnolia School District is committed to providing a safe learning environment in which all students are offered quality educational opportunities that challenge them to reach their full potential, to respect individual differences, and to prepare for lifelong learning in a diverse and changing society."

Our Town: You will never find a community that supports its kids like Magnolia! From our corporate businesses and industries, our local banks and town merchants to the District’s educators and support staff, there are innumerable people who will invest in your child's life inside and outside the classroom.

The local Chamber of Commerce offers many exciting opportunities for families including autumn and winter activities, such as Fall Festival, the Scarecrow Crawl, Merrytime in Magnolia, and Christmas Open House. Magnolia also hosts the Magnolia Blossom Festival and World Champion Steak Cookoff in May of each year where our town square transforms into an entertainment space full of food trucks and close to 80 steak competitors vying for the title of champion. The Magnolia Blossom Festival also hosts an art show each year where local artists submit artwork to be judged. The city park is home to a splash pad, skatepark, and new pickleball courts. Our town is blessed to be the home of Southern Arkansas University (SAU), which brings a vibrant feel to our community as many Mulerider students and athletes engage with our kids through various volunteer opportunities. There is always something to do in Magnolia! Entertainment that boosts a positive community spirit includes but are not limited to Boys and Girls Club, high school, and college sporting events, SAU Rodeos, art and theatre productions presented by the SAU Theatre Department, Magnolia High School Theatre Department, and Magnolia Arts. For those who love the outdoors, Logoly State Park is a place to check out! Logoly’s natural resources provide a living laboratory for students and visitors. Most of Logoly’s 370 acres comprise a State Natural Area that includes unique plant species and mineral springs. Park facilities also include a bathhouse with hot showers, a pavilion, picnic sites, a playground, and multiple trails.

Magnolia also has many daycare options for our youngest Magnolians where they can be cared for, loved, and prepared for enrollment in the Magnolia Walker-Pre-Kindergarten Center and Magnolia Kindergarten Center! For more information on all these different aspects of our community click here!
