JAYCEON FOSTER WINS ECONOMICS ARKANSAS ART CONTEST
East Side Elementary School second-grader, Jayceon Foster, was selected as one of twelve winners of Economics Arkansas’ 2023 Picturing Economics Art Competition. Students across the state in grades Kindergarten-8 were tasked with illustrating economic concepts. Jayceon’s drawing illustrating specialization as well as the other winning art entrees is live on EA’s website and will be spotlighted on social media. Technology lab teacher, Jessica Talley, submitted his artwork after a Christmas-themed economic unit. Jayceon received a $50 Walmart gift card for winning, and Mrs. Talley received a $50 gift card for sending in his entry. Economics Arkansas recently presented his framed art to superintendent John Ward for display in the District Administration building. Three East Side students have been winners in this competition since 2022.
