Magnolia Fire Department Responds to Electrical Issue at Freshman Academy

Magnolia, Arkansas — The Magnolia Fire Department responded to a call at the Magnolia High School Freshman Academy at approximately 7:00 a.m. this morning after reports of a possible fire.

Upon arrival, firefighters located fire and smoke damage to an electrical outlet in a single classroom. The situation was quickly assessed and contained.

At the time of the incident, no students or faculty members were present in the building, and no injuries were reported.

As a precaution, students will be diverted to other classrooms on the Magnolia High School campus until further notice while the affected classroom area is assessed and any necessary repairs are completed.

School officials expressed appreciation for the rapid response from local emergency personnel.

“We are grateful to the Magnolia Fire Department for their quick response and professionalism in addressing the situation,” school officials said.

The Magnolia School District will continue to monitor the situation and will provide additional information as it becomes available.
