The yearly Magnolia READS (Reading Empowers All District Students) financial literacy initiative kicked off today for students at East Side and Central Elementary Schools. Students in kindergarten through fifth grades will read Lunch Money by Andrew Clements. The District greatly appreciates Farmers Bank & Trust for purchasing the books for the third consecutive year for students, faculty, and staff. Our deepest appreciation also goes to Economics Arkansas for providing bookmarks for the students, and resources and activities for the teachers.

Last week the Magnolia Track Team hosted three meets at Panther Stadium. Sub-Zero New Orleans Style Shaved Ice was there all week long, but I’m not sure if everyone knew that a portion of the proceeds went back to the track program.
Thank you Sub-Zero for your help in raising funds for our track team! The track booster club funds are used to help supply meals and snacks for when they travel to meets and supplies that are needed to help them compete.
Thank you Sub-Zero New Orleans Style Shaved Iced for all you did this week. We can’t wait to support you in your next events as well!

The Magnolia District Art Show is only a month away! This week shirts are on sale for this fabulous event.
