Return all library books this week to the drop box located just inside the gate at the front entrance of the high school.

All current 2020 Seniors need to return their school-issued laptops this Tuesday and Wednesday in front of the High School. Simply drive through the bus lane and we will be setup for you to return your laptop and charger. Backpacks will NOT be returned. Seniors with Last Names beginning with A – M will be both Tuesday and Wednesday (5/19 and 5/20) from 10:00am – 11:00am. Seniors with Last Names beginning with N – Z will be both Tuesday and Wednesday (5/19 and 5/20) from 11:00am – 12:00 noon. If you no longer have your laptop and/or charger, please contact the technology department at 870-901-2544 for further instructions. PLEASE NOTE: Seniors that are currently enrolled in AP classes, you can keep your laptops until you finish with AP exams you are signed up for. We have a list of those students, and upon completion of AP tests please return your laptop to the high school office.

Any novels from the English classrooms need to be returned to the drop-off box at the high school. This includes all dystopian book club novels from Mrs. Hamilton, Ms. McMahan, and Mrs. Tiegs. All AP Seniors, please return Kite Runner from Mrs. Smith’s class. Deadline Tuesday, May 19th.

FINAL CALL FOR YEARBOOK PICKUP! We will have a drive through distribution next Tuesday 5/19/20, from 10-11am in front of the High School. If you are looking to purchase, please bring exact change $55 or check made to MHS Yearbook. ATTENTION SENIORS: A message to Magnolia High School Seniors from the counselor’s office. We will soon be finishing up grades for the seniors. Once everything is processed we will be able to send the FINAL COMPLETE transcript to the college of your choice. Before this can be done, we must have your help. The counselor’s office needs permission from the student as to where the final transcript needs to be sent. In addition to the transcript, test scores and immunization records will be included. Magnolia School District has been approved to join forces with Baylor University to offer the Meals-To-You program. What does this mean? It means that meals for your student(s) will be delivered to your home! Each household, with children ages 1-18 who qualify for free or reduced school meals, will need to go to the website www.mealstoyou.org and sign up by Monday, May 11th. PLEASE help share this to get the word out. This program will be replacing the food service delivery we have been doing since mid-March. Magnolia School District will not deliver meals after this Friday, 05/08. This is a great opportunity for our community!

ACT Test Online at Home Coming Fall/Winter In response to uncertainty and school cancellations due to COVID-19, ACT announced it will offer a flexible schedule for summer 2020 test dates and test-at-home options for fall/winter 2020. As CDC and local guidelines for safety allow, ACT will offer its June and July national test dates as scheduled and will additionally provide makeup test dates for June and July. The makeup test date for the June 13 national test date will be June 20, and the makeup test date for the July 18 test date will be July 25. ACT will work with individual national test centers should they need to reschedule to the makeup test date and students will be notified in advance. Students may also make free test date changes from the June to the July national test date. In addition to the three previously planned fall test dates on September 12, October 24 and December 12, ACT will also offer a remote proctoring option for the ACT® test in late fall/early winter 2020, allowing students to take the test at their home on a computer. ACT will launch the test-at-home option as part of its national testing program. The fee waivers ACT provides to students from low-income homes will apply to the at-home testing option, and ACT is considering other ways to address access and equity issues.

Attn. Seniors: I absolutely regret to announce that the Senior Prom has officially been cancelled. Graduation is still pending and a decision about how and when we will graduate is coming very soon. I am sorry for this announcement and hope you are staying healthy and well.

ATTENTION SENIORS 2020-2021: INTERNSHIP APPLICATIONS Information about the Internship program is on Anita Moore's teacher page. You will need to view the Power Point and the Word document to understand the process of applying to Internship. You can do one of the following to complete the process: 1. Print off the application, complete, and drop off at the drop-off box at the high school. Put application in an envelope with "ATTENTION ANITA MOORE" on it. 2. Complete the information in a Word document and email it to amoore@magnoliaschools.net. 3. Email amoore@magnoliaschools.net to get an application directly sent to you. 4. Call Mrs. Moore at 870-901-2542 and leave a voice mail. she will get back to you as soon as she receives it.

AP students, please check your email (school and personal accounts). If you have not received an email from College Board, refer to the email from Mrs. Card that explains what you need to do. You can also contact your AP teacher if you need help with this. Also, if you do not have internet access for taking the AP test, let your teacher or counselor know ASAP!

ATTENTION 11th GRADE STUDENTS INTERESTED IN APPLYING FIR INTERNSHIP 2020-2021: Mrs. Moore will be in front of the school during yearbook distribution Thursday from 10:00-11:00. If you want to apply to the Internship program, you may come to school during this time to pick up an application or drop off a completed application.
