Reminder.....Lady Panthers and Panthers will play their final game tonight in Panther Arena when the Hamburg Lady Lions and Lions come to town. Panther and Lady Panther swimmers head to Arkadelphia today to defend their 2019 conference champ titles. McCook and Rogers are the only seniors from MHS and will be recognized before the meet . Swim hard, swim fast!!! Go MHS Swim Team!

Career and Technical Education Day took place at the state Capitol Tuesday, February 11, 2020. Held in the capitol rotunda, the event was designed to showcase CTE programs and leaders from across the state. Magnolia High School was well represented by students from the internship program. MHS students attending were A’Nijah Caldwell, Caitlin Jermany, and Jeremiah Smith.

BRAELYN BEASLEY SIGNS FOOTBALL SCHOLARSHIP WITH HSU Magnolia High School senior, Braelyn Beasley, recently signed a letter-of-intent to play football for the Henderson State University Reddies next fall. Beasley was a two-way starter for the Panthers during 2019 season. As a quarterback, Braelyn threw for 533 yards with seven touchdown passes. He also had 800 yards rushing with eight touchdowns and two 2-point conversions. As a defensive back, Beasley led the conference with six interceptions. He also had fourteen pass deflections and thirty-eight tackles with three tackles for loss. Braelyn was the quarterback and defensive back of the year as an All-Conference player this year. He was also named to the All-State team as a defensive back. Braelyn has been selected to play in two All-Star games this summer. He will play in the Arkansas High School All-Star game and the FCA All-Star game between Arkansas and Texas All-Stars. Beasley is projected to play either defensive back or receiver for the Reddies next season.

Panthers and Lady Panthers swam their last regular season meet on last Thursday., February 6. There were 13 teams from all over the state. The Panthers took 2nd place overall and Lady Panthers 4th. Their Conference meet is February 13 in Arkadelphia.

Progress Reports go out today and parent conferences are Tuesday, Feb. 11 from 3:30-6:30.
